Then, on the day of the treatment, you can expect your Aesthetician to cleanse the area before applying a cooling ECG gel. This ECG gel ensures the laser and IPL light is absorbed optimally. Once this gel has been applied, they will then cover your eyes to protect them against the AFT technology and begin the treatment.

As it is heralded a lunchtime treatment, there is no downtime! This can depend again on the intensity of the treatment, but usually there are no visible signs of treatment. Sometimes the treatment area may be a little tender or swell, but this should improve after 24 hours.

Some patients have described it as feeling like a warm elastic band and experience a heating sensation. After a session of Dye-VL you may see some redness, soreness or darkening of the treatment area post your rejuvenating or laser pigmentation removal treatment. This should improve after the treatment and our team is available to help you and reassure you if any skin changes occur.
